The Reflection Project P2
It’s funny how media can inspire you in one way or another. I was catching up on what was going on YouTube, lol. More like binge-watching YouTube. I watch one of Lindsay Adler’s videos about reflection. This got the wheels spinning on how I could use a material like that for a shoot, and what came to mind was a mirroring effect—something you would see at a circus Funhouse.
This was not the first time I shot with the material as a wall. I tried to recreate Lindsay Adler’s concept the first time, which was much harder than I expected. But adding the material on the temporary walls did. I’ll post the materials I use at the end of the blog.
I posted that image on Instagram, and it piqued the interest of Bluberry girl. Because she had a unique top that would look amazing for the concept, this was not Bluberry girl, and I first shoot. We actually did three shoots before this one, and she is an amazing model to work with.
We were actually working on another concept idea. But the day of the shoot, she asked can we shoot with the reflection wall that she had seen on my Instagram and said yes. So within three hours of the shoot, we were not going with the original concept plan that we had set. I had no ideas and no plan for the shoot now.
Usually, I don’t trust some models regarding concept ideas. Usually, it becomes more work for me and not worth my time. But I decided to go with the flow on this one and see what she how in mind.
Here are more of our results from the shoot.
